Dog parks in Inner West Sydney

Just like humans, pets love to play and relax outside the home environment. As such, it is very important for a dog owner to live in a community with several dog-friendly parks. Luckily for residents of Inner West Sydney, there is a broad network of parks in the area that are specially designed for dogs. Listed below are some of the most popular dog parks in Sydney's inner west suburbs:

O'Dea Reserve

Located in the suburb of Camperdown, the O'Dea Reserve is home to one of the largest and most popular dog parks in the city. It is a perfect place for your dog to play and socialize with other dogs and people usually drive for several kilometers juts to have their dogs play and become part of this beautiful community. The dog park is fully enclosed with a dog fence and features a grassy area and a sandy zone. In cases of extreme weather, there is a shelter specifically designed for dogs. There are several resting benches around the enclosure where you can sit and relax as you enjoy watching your small furry friend play and make new friends.

Enmore Dog Park

This is another amazing dog park in the Inner West area. Just like its counterpart at the O'Dea Reserve, the Enmore Dog Park is nicely enclosed with a dog fence to keep the dogs from going off-limits. Other features of this Enmore-based dog park include dog toys, watering bowls, seating benches, and a spacious parking area.

Petersham Park

Though not designated as a dog park, the Petersham public park is one of the most popular dog-friendly parks in Inner West Sydney. However, due to the high human traffic, all dogs are required to have a leash for safety purposes. Other highlights of the park include a kid's play area, a giant swimming pool, picnic and BBQ facilities, well-maintained trails, and lots of beautiful lush vegetation.

Elkington Park

If you want to enjoy the luxurious view of the Parramatta River while walking your dogs, head over to Elkington Park in Balmain. The park is reportedly one of the top picnic destinations in Elkington and the surrounding areas thanks to its beautiful gardens, paved trails, and modern picnic facilities. All dogs are required to be on a leash while walking and playing around the park.
Other popular dog parks in Inner West Sydney include Propeller Park, Bridgewater Park, Canterbury Dog Park, Dog Park at Federal Park, Pierre De Coubertin Dog Park, Croydon Dog Off Leash, and War Memorial Park.
